An unforgettable stay, arrived as 3 departed as 4 with baby Olive being born in Ashwell Cottage. I will always look back very fondly, of the special time we spent at your cottages and point out Olive's birthplace to her whenever we drive past.

My name is Holly, I have stayed at Petasfield stables 4 times now. It is in lovely countryside in Hertfordshire. But it is very close to London, so if you want to do a day trip to London that’s no problem. The holiday cottages are very nice. The thing I like most about Petasfield stables is the riding and the horses of course! : )
I started riding properly at Petasfield and enjoy lessons with Helen and Rebecca. On my last visit, I went out for my first hack with Helen and Sparky. I really enjoyed it! Helen is a great teacher and very patient with beginners! The horses are all very friendly as well as Helen’s dogs.
If you like the countryside, riding and horses, then Petasfield is recommended!!!

| We stayed at Petasfield cottages in May 2010, our first visit. I had been recommended them by a mutual friend of Helen and myself. Our daughter Natalie is disabled and confined to a wheelchair. She has full time carers and has to be hoisted for all of her personal care. Finding Petasfield cottages has meant that we can holiday as a family for the first time in many years as the ceiling hoist in one of the two larger cottages allow the carers to perform all of Natalie’s personal care as they do at home. The sleeping setup for Natalie and her carers also works well as they are far enough away from Natalie so as not to disturb her, but are on hand if she needs attention. The stables are another interesting and likable distraction from town life. Enjoyed the stay and facilities so much we are returning again this May (2011)

We recently stayed at Petasfield cottages and cannot recommend it highly enough. The accommodation was brilliant. Everything we could possibly want was there and it was all clean, comfortable and modern. It was beautifully furnished and the underfloor heating was a real bonus for us people coming from hot Western Australia.
The riding stables is extremely well maintained and it was a real pleasure to see the horses in the yard, giving riding lessons or just turned out in the nearby fields. It was also a real bonus to be in such a stunning area as Petasfield is surrounded by beautiful countryside with lots of lovely walks and yet it's only a mile or so away from the lovely little town of Hertford.
Finally, we have to mention the owner Helen's efficiency, friendliness and constant efforts to make every part of the stay successful and enjoyable.
We will definitely rebook on our next trip to the U.K.

Many thanks, Petasfield provides us with everything we need. A quite location, but easy to reach shops and restaurants. I particularly love the huge shower, unfortunately now all normal showers are just not the same!
Mac (my dog) loves to stay too, due to the extensive network of footpaths from a 40 minute loop or until you drop, it may also be the under floor heating in the cottage, but I reckon it’s mainly the welcome he gets from Tommy (Helens dog).
Petasfield is by far my favourite place to stay away from home!

| Fantastic accommodation for people with physical disabilities. We will be using this facility again and again. I will let all my friends, colleagues and Tact UK managers know what a wonderful place it is.. Hertford’s best kept secret.

| We have had the pleasure to stay at Petasfield a number of times. We love it here, everyone is so friendly and the adaptations make it an ideal place to come. Using an electric wheelchair can make finding suitable places to stay a bit of a nightmare. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Petasfield to anyone, but if you are looking for truely accessible accommodation then I don't think you will find better...

Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. Although our visit was not a conventional holiday, we found the surroundings so comfortable and relaxing, it turned out to be every bit as good!
